Save the date! Thursday, October 3rd 2019.
The Mitchell Centre for Social Network Analysis at the University of Manchester is excited to be hosting a one-day postgraduate forum on the topic of Gender and Networks.
The event is open to all postgraduates and early career researchers who are currently using or are interested in using relational perspectives and methods to investigate gender dynamics in their research.
Key questions that the event will aim to address include:
- How does gender affect the strategies people adopt in using their personal networks?
- What evidence is there for the ways in which gender discrimination operates through social networks?
- What are some of the innovative methodological approaches social networks researchers are using to capture the role of gender in their observed network structures?
More information confirming our excellent keynote speakers, the detailed programme and location information, and instructions on how to register for the event through the website of the British Sociological Association will follow soon.
Save the date – we hope to see many of you in October for what promises to be a timely, lively and insightful event!
